LUSH stores are now carrying Clean Water For Haiti Charity Pots

Hello Friends!

LUSH is a really cool store that makes natural soaps, lotions, and all the beauty and pampering products that you can possibly think of. They have a really cool lotion brand called Charity Pot, which supports causes around the world. LUSH has committed to supporting Clean Water For Haiti!!! So when you go into a LUSH store in North America today, you can ask for the Clean Water For Haiti Charity Pot and 100% of the proceeds go to the charity. How exciting is that???!!! It's so awesome. Well, I'm stoked about it. Hope you are to.

Best,
Isabel

World Water Day in Vancouver

It's hard to believe a year has gone by since the last World Water Day. This year, I'm partnered up with sowhatdoyouthink.com to bring awareness to World Water Day. Most people still don't know this day exists. We asked people to take the challenge of carrying a 20 litre container full of water. Talk about heavy. Reactions ranged from "If I had to do this everyday, I'd die" to "I think I sprained my arm". The reality is, I live in a place where clean drinking water is available from a tap, actually several taps, in my home. I can't imagine having to walk 6 km everyday to fetch water that may not even be safe for me to drink and having to drink it anyway because I have no choice. Water is vital and we all need it. Water is everyone's right and it ought to be available for every single human being in this world. Sadly, it seems to be more of a privilege today. One in 8 children in Haiti will not live to even age 5 because of the lack of clean water. Every 20 seconds there is a child dying somewhere in the world because of water issues. I'm so grateful for what I have today. Thank you Lord. If you'd like to donate: http://www.cleanwaterforhaiti.org/Design/HTML/donate.html

Earthquake in Haiti - January 12, 2010

Depending where you were in Haiti the earthquake was either 5.0 or 7.0. The country is in a catastrophe. Buildings have been destroyed, lives lost, and blood shed. I'm afraid for the countries well being. I have checked in with Clean Water For Haiti Directors, Chris and Leslie Rollings. Leslie updated her blog today and I am happy to report that she and her family are doing fine. You can read her story at http://rollingsinhaiti.wordpress.com.

Please pray that this set back for the country will be a time for people to come together in peace and restore the nation as it is long overdue and this country has suffered far too much.

Water

Yesterday I was taking a shower and the water was semi cold. The weather is starting to cool down now and there's nothing like a warm/hot shower to add more pleasure to my life right now. Anyway, while the water felt cold and I tried everything to make the water warmer. From changing the setting to turning on and off the tap...nothing worked so I settled for the temperature I was getting. Before I could overeact I got a reality check and it went something like this....
"At least I have water and it's clean water. Thanks be to God!!! I have nothing to complain about and can only be thankful."

If you can make a donation this holiday season, please remember the "Change 15000 Lives" Campaign and donate today.

You are part of this world and can make changes too

I watched this video today and had to share it. We basically have a choice of how we want to live in this world. You can go on feeling and living like it is what it is and there is nothing that you can do to change things, but really what good is that. On the surface it may seem like you as one person cannot do much on a macro level, however, the little steps that you do will make a difference. The way you behave can also help influence others and become a ripple effect. Please watch this video and take a moment to think about how your way of thinking and living can have life changing results for you and for your legacy.
